The Gouverneur High School Drama Department marked its 25th year producing Broadway shows this March with its production of Disney's Beauty and the Beast. Although GHS is located about as far north as you can go in New York State, this High School continues to bring quality theatre to North Country audiences. Several departments at the school including drama, music, and art, work together with students, parents and community members on the stage, backstage, and in the pit to produce some of the best entertainment and most vivid high school memories for students and staff alike. According to director, Carol Amberg: "Costuming wizards Barbara Hale and Arnie Roberts are responsible for Beauty and the Beast's wonderful costumes." Longtime MTI customers, Gouverneur High School's photography this year is the work of student, Marshall Boprey.
